Couple leaves car running and unattended… with their baby inside

I just finished reading an article about how a couple left their car running while they went inside a gas station. Guess what happened! The car was stolen. Shocker, right?

Here’s the really bad part… the couple left their baby inside the car.

Yep. They parked the car, left it running, with their baby inside, and went in the gas station.

The article does not mention who the “victims” are. Which isn’t much of a surprise. I can only hope that they have been “smacked up one side and down the other” for putting their child in such serious danger.

Sadly, I’m not all that surprised that people still leave their cars running while they “run inside” for something.

People seem to always be in a hurry. It’s just for a couple of minutes. Nobody will have time to steal the car. It’ll be fine.

It’s a gamble. And sometimes they lose.

But having a baby infinitely ups the ante. Babies have to rely on their parents/guardians to protect and defend them because they sure as heck can’t do it themselves.

Don’t leave your car running and unattended. Not for any amount of time. Especially if there are children involved. Seriously. I can’t believe that this even has to be said, especially nowadays.

Turn off the car. Lock the car. Take the baby with you.

BTW: The car was eventually found, with the baby safe and unharmed. Thank you God.
